Hi Kris, thanks for taking the time out of your busy schedule to take part in Leach’s Meet the Team Q&A!

We’ll ease you in gently... What is your role at Leach’s?

I work in Purchasing, so it’s my job to ensure we have all the products our customers need, when they need them and at the most competitive prices.

A lot of our customers have bespoke requirements too, so we work incredibly hard to make sure they can get everything they’re looking for from Leach’s.

And what’s your favourite thing about your job?

I have a customer service background, so working with people is something I am so passionate about.

I also love working for a company that is extremely dedicated to exceeding expectations and building relationships with customers. There is nothing better than finding quality products at the best prices to keep our valued customers happy and coming back to us.

Loving your passion Kris. So, what does an average working day look like for you?

In purchasing, every day is different. Generally, I spend the day ordering and sourcing products, ensuring everything will arrive when it should, and helping manage the daily ins and outs of stock.

And what do you enjoy doing when you’re not at work?

I enjoy all sports, in particular golf. I seem to spend too much time trying to get permission from my wife to play as much as possible.

I also have a young Daughter who I am quite obsessed with, so spending time with her, my wife and our 2 dogs never gets old!

Sounds very rewarding (and tiring!). You’ve earned a brew. Someone’s boiling the kettle. Are you having tea or coffee?

Coffee!

I don’t mind the occasional tea, but I’m definitely a coffee man. Black Americano with an extra shot. That’s the one.

Tell us a random fact about you…

I’ve just had my first (and probably only) hole in one on the golf course. That ball is now framed in my living room!

Congratulations! I’d be lucky to even hit the ball…

What did you want to be growing up?

Happy!

Bit of a cliché, but if you surround yourself at home and at work with good people, it doesn’t matter what you do as you will always be successful and enjoy life!
